Trying Some New Foods

One of the best things that I've noticed since starting to eat a mostly whole foods, mostly plant-based, nutrient-rich diet is that I'm enjoying a lot of foods that I never really ate before. Or at least I didn't eat much of them. Bok choy comes to mine as do beets. Also, prior to this past October, I only knew one way to eat sweet potatoes. Who could have ever imagined that you might make a sweet potato lasagna that is out of this world fantastic to eat?

So with that in mind, I found this article, The 11 Best Foods You Aren't Eating that provides a great place to start for widening our tastes on a whole foods, mostly plant-based, nutrient-rich diet. Note that 10 out of the 11 on the list are all plant-based. That's a great testament to the power of plants to improve our health. And the sardines, while not plant-based, are a whole food and they are nutrient-dense.

So, enjoy! This list offers a new eating experience for many of us.
