Start by putting a cup of black rice in a pan with 1-/3/4 cup of water.
Bring the rice to a rapid boil, then add the following ingredients while simmering until the water has been absorbed:
- 1/2 onion, peeled and chopped
- 9 ounces of cherry tomatoes
- 1 large garlic clove (or 2 regular size garlic cloves)
- Salt to taste
When ready to serve, sprinkle with basil and ground flaxseed.
