Eating More Greens While Buying Fewer Greens
Stop! Don't throw those greens away.
I've found this is a good way to buy fresh vegetables --- with all the greens attached. I'm able to cut back on the amount of greens that I buy separately by using the greens from root vegetables like bok choy, beets and radishes in my salads and soups. The only one I'm not sure about is carrot greens. I've heard that they can be toxic, so I am not using those right now.
If it's a new veggie, I'll check online first to make sure that it is edible and tastes good enough to eat.
